Teriyaki Salmon with Asparagus

This. Was. Incredible.

The dish was 297 calories!

The best part was that this is a one pan meal, and was ready in about a half hour! Actually probably closer to 20 minutes!

What you'll need:

1 salmon filet (calories will vary depending on the size. I would recommend using a scale, or if you're using a frozen filet just look at the packaging)

1 tbsp teriyaki sauce (homemade or store bought)

1 cup asparagus

Spices

Nonstick cooking spray

Green onion for garnish (optional)

What you'll need to do:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees

If you're using frozen salmon, unthaw according to package directions

Lightly spray a sheet pan with the nonstick spray

Lay your salmon on the tray skin side down, and spoon your teriyaki sauce over the top of it

Snap your asparagus so that you get the thick and woody part off, otherwise the outer thick skin won't cook and it is extremely tough to get through and gets kind of stringy. I snap off about an inch of the bottom, and discard them

Throw your asparagus on the sheet pan, and use whatever seasonings you would like on top of them. I used garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper.

But it in the oven for 16-18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes with a fork. Be careful to not overcook the salmon as it dries out quickly!

Take the pan out and add the greens on the green onion on top. I used less than a tablespoon, probably around a teaspoon.

Serve immediately!
