Blackened Tofu

Writer: AshAsh

I'm so sorry, I promise this is the last tofu recipe (for now).

I'm a sucker for spices, and this recipe does the trick!! You'll see what I mean.

What you'll need:

1 block tofu 1/4 tsp. cayenne 1/4 tsp. granulated onion 1/4 tsp. granulated garlic 1/4 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. cumin, ground 1/4 tsp. coriander, ground 1/4 tsp. black peppercorns, ground 1 tbsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. thyme

What you'll need to do:

Drain your tofu and cut it into cubes if it is not already cubed.

Coat tofu in spice. In a hot skillet, brown tofu with no oil or water. When edges brown, flip and cover cook until cooked though.

Time depends on the thickness of the tofu.

So the tofu I buy is 80 calories for 3 oz. If I made my whole block of tofu for this, it would be 360 calories. However, I stick to only one serving, so I would call this a nice 80 calorie snack!
